I was approached by Vince to add/modify content for the website once or twice annually. After a brief verification of the html source I found out that it wasn't being index properly. Mostly due to frames which completely hides content from search engines (Google, Yahoo or Bing!). I also felt like the design needed a major overhaul (See initial website image below) to accommodate today's standard.

First step on my list was to get rid of the frames and start building a proper XHTML page with CSS for design and layout. That would tremendously help the site gain visibility on the web.

Secondly, the site structure needed help. By re-organizing the sitemap and giving the home page a more "blog-ish" feel, browsing around would become an easier process. This is where the idea of the 3 boxes above the fold came from. When visitors arrive on the site, they can quickly view if new content has been posted within the 3 most popular pages, in this case: Newsletters, minutes and recent news.

A concept was built before presentation and was modifiy to what it is today.
